2022 Tentative Spring Dulcimer Weekend Schedule

2:00-4:00PM:  Sam Rizzetta Memorial Service… Sam was a long-time teacher and mentor in the dulcimer world, but was best known for his innovations in dulcimer design which made the instrument better sounding, lighter and easier to play.

Sam left us in October, but this is an opportunity to share memories, tunes, and stories about Sam.  Hosted by Karen Ashbrook.  Please RSVP if you wish to share something during the memorial.

4:30-5:30PM: Student Open Mike.. a long time tradition, a welcoming place to show what you have been working on.

7:30-830PM:  Showcase concert with Karen Alley and Mark Alan Wade

9:00-1000PM: Instructor hosted “jam” session led by Mark Alan Wade and Brenda Hunter

Build group playing and arranging skills with "Oh Holy Night"  for beginning to intermediate students.  When to play the melody and when to play only the harmony? That depends on who you are playing with. How to pencil in some harmony that doesn't clash with what others are playing.  Taught by Andy Lang.
